James is an Investment Manager in the Energy & Infrastructure investment team and has over eight years of energy industry experience. His M&A transaction experience spans the UK and Nordic regions covering solar, wind, hydro and grid service technologies. Prior to Downing, James worked as an engineer at DNV within offshore energy and at Renewable Energy Systems (RES) as a financial and commercial analyst.
James holds an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
