James joined Downing in March 2021 as an Investment Executive in the Energy & Infrastructure team, with over five years of energy industry experience. He is responsible for supporting deal teams with financial modelling, deal management and bespoke quantitative analysis to ensure the successful delivery of renewable energy investments.
Prior to Downing, James worked at Renewable Energy Systems (RES) providing financial and commercial, data-analytic-led, solutions to maximise the returns of development projects and operating portfolios. He has also worked as an engineer at DNV within offshore energy. James holds a MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
