Åsteby is one of five run-of-river hydropower plants owned by DORE that are located on the Norsälven river in the Torsby municipality.
Åsteby was commissioned in 1951 and has five dams that permit water storage and regulation. The plant is powered by one Kaplan turbine and has an annual production of 2.8 GWh.
