Torsby is one of five run-of-river hydropower plants owned by DORE that are located on the Norsälven river in the Torsby municipality.
Torsby was commissioned in 1942 and has three dams that permit water storage and regulation. The plant is powered by two Francis turbines and has an annual production of 13.2 GWh.
